Dartel Solutions sells and installs it on the Costa del Sol. If you prefer us to leave it operational, please request an installation quote.
Who it’s for and who it’s not for. Fits in a room with lots of glass and little frame: the living room window, the terrace sliding door, the gallery. It does not fit as the only detector in a home, as it does not detect movement: it alerts when glass is broken, not when someone enters through the door.
What’s included in the box. The detector, with its bidirectional 868 MHz Jeweller radio and internal antenna, Grade 2 certified, with a break detection indicator and input for wired sensors. It is powered by a CR123A 3.0 V battery, with an approximate lifespan of seven years.
How we install it on the Costa del Sol. It goes indoors, on a wall or ceiling facing the glass: no construction and no wires, as everything travels wirelessly. What is measured in your house is the range to the hub —up to 1000 m in open space, much less between walls and ceilings— and the sensitivity level set for that room.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need one in every window?
No. It covers 9 m with a 180° opening, so one well-placed detector can cover all the glass in the same room. What requires another is glass in another room or behind a wall.
What if a glass breaks in the kitchen?
The sensor is a microphone type, electret, and reacts to the characteristic sound of breaking glass. To adjust it to the noise of each location, it has three sensitivity levels: low, medium, and high.
Can I connect a wired sensor that is already installed?
Yes. It has a wired input and a tamper protection, so an old contact can be integrated into the system through this detector instead of being left out.
