PIR and Glass-Break Detector Ajax Black

Description

A burglar coming in through a window does not always cross the living room: they take what is nearby and leave. That is why this Ajax detector does two jobs at once: a volumetric PIR for movement and a microphone-based glass-break sensor for the exact moment a pane is smashed.

The PIR covers 12 metres at 88.5° horizontally thanks to a lens with 24 zones across 6 planes, and the microphone hears breaking glass at 9 metres over 180°. It is fitted at 2.4 m, the height at which the lens spreads properly.

• Immune to pets up to 20 kg and 50 cm tall: the dog can stay inside with the alarm set.
• Three sensitivity levels to tune it to the actual room.
• A single CR123A battery, lasting roughly 5 years.
• Jeweller at 868 MHz, up to 1,200 m in open space: no cable back to the hub.
• ABS housing, 110 × 65 × 50 mm, discreet in a corner.

This is the black one, for a dark wall or wooden furniture. Two things it does not have: anti-masking and weather protection — it is an indoor detector (0 to 50 °C). Where it goes changes everything, which is why we fit it and test it in front of you.
