Description
A smoke detector with a temperature sensor and its own 85 dB sounder: it sounds on the spot and warns your phone. Certified to EN 14604:2005 and able to run standalone, so it keeps sounding even if the hub is out of action. It is a smoke and heat detector: it does not detect carbon monoxide — that is what the Plus model adds.

Who it’s for and who it’s not. It’s designed for the kitchen, the hallway of the bedrooms, and the boiler room, especially for homes that are often empty. It is not a carbon monoxide detector: it detects smoke and heat, and those needing CO detection should look for the model that includes it.
What’s included in the box. The smoke and temperature detector, with a built-in 85 dB siren, bidirectional Jeweller radio at 868 MHz with internal antenna, anti-tamper feature, and EN14604:2005 certification. It comes with 2 CR2 3.0 V batteries with a backup CR2032, with an approximate lifespan of 4 years.
How to install it on the Costa del Sol. It is screwed to the ceiling, indoors and without construction, and operates from 0 °C to 65 °C. It can function autonomously or linked to an Ajax hub: in a house that is left empty, the latter option turns the beep into a mobile alert. It measures 132 × 132 × 31 mm and weighs 220 g.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it also detect carbon monoxide from a boiler?
No. This model detects smoke, rapid temperature rise, and a temperature threshold of +59 °C ± 2 °C. The carbon monoxide detection is included in the model with a CO sensor, which is a different product.
If there are multiple units, do they all sound or just the one that detects?
Smoke detectors in the same installation interconnect to sound simultaneously when one detects. In a two-story house, this ensures the alert can be heard upstairs.
Can it be silenced without getting on a chair?
Yes, the alarm can be silenced from the Ajax app, in addition to the Test and Silence button on the detector itself. It also has a false alarm filter.
