The sibling of the previous one, but a voltage relay: this one does carry the current. It connects to 110 to 240 V mains and outputs 13 A and up to 3 kW, so it switches directly whatever is behind it: an outside light, a pump, a heater, the irrigation.

The practical difference from a smart plug is where it lives: the relay is built in — inside a back box, a control panel or the appliance itself — and it neither uses up a socket nor shows. It links over Jeweller radio at 868 MHz, with up to 1,000 metres of range in open space.
