WiFi trouble in a big house is almost never the router — it’s the distance. People buy a more powerful router and the far bedroom is exactly as bad as it was. The fix isn’t more power from one spot; it’s an access point placed where you actually need it, with a network cable behind it.
This one mounts on a ceiling or a wall, indoors, and runs WiFi 6 (802.11ax) on both bands, up to a combined 1775 Mbps, with built-in 2×2 MIMO antennas. What matters about WiFi 6 at home isn’t the headline number — you’ll rarely see it — but how much better it copes with many devices at once: phones, TVs, smart plugs, cameras. It supports up to 8 SSIDs: family, guests and devices on separate networks.
It’s powered over PoE 802.3af/at (15.3 W), so a single network cable carries both data and power. That’s where the 8-port managed PoE switch fits in: it feeds several access points at once and reaches up to 250 m in extended PoE mode. Everything is set up through the web interface or Ruijie’s cloud.
How we install it. It goes on a ceiling or a wall, and the spot is chosen by measuring, not convenience: the point from which the signal reaches the areas that fail today, with its cable run from the PoE switch. We check real coverage room by room before closing: a badly placed access point cannot be fixed with settings.
One thing to watch: this is an indoor unit and works from 0 to 40 °C. For the garden, the pool or a covered terrace you need an outdoor one, such as the IP68 outdoor WiFi 5 unit, rated −30 to 65 °C. The rest are under WiFi.
