Description
Wi-Fi coming from inside the house dies on the terrace. This Reyee access point is built to hang outdoors — IP65, −30 to 65 °C — and to give real coverage in the garden, by the pool, on the porch or across a business yard.
It is dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac): up to 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz — the band that travels further and gets through walls better — and up to 867 Mbps on 5 GHz — the fast one, for video and calls near the unit. Devices move between the two depending on where they are.
- PoE powered: a single network cable carries data and power, with no outdoor socket needed.
- Gigabit RJ45 port, so the cable is not the bottleneck.
- WPA and WPA2 (AES) security, with a WPA-PSK key.
- Managed from a web page or remotely with Ruijie Cloud: the Wi-Fi password can be changed without going to the property.
- 220 × 50 mm and 400 g — it fixes to a wall or a post with no building work.
It is Wi-Fi 5, not Wi-Fi 6: plenty for browsing, video and cameras, but if thirty devices are going to fight for it at once, another range is worth looking at. Coverage depends above all on where it is mounted — that is the part we solve, cable already run.
