Description
A PoE switch is the part almost nobody looks at and the one that decides whether the installation holds up. This Reyee gives 5 multigigabit ports at 2.5 Gbps and a 10 Gbps SFP+ uplink, which is what you need once the cameras are no longer 2 MP and gigabit starts to feel tight.
It powers cameras and access points over the same network cable: up to 30 W per port to 802.3at (PoE+) and 70 W for the whole unit. That second number is the one to check before buying — five 12 W cameras do not fit in 70 W, and that is the classic mistake.
- 45 Gbps switching capacity and a 4,000-entry MAC table.
- 9,216-byte jumbo frames: continuous video with less overhead.
- Per-port rate limiting (in and out): one camera cannot eat everyone else’s line.
- Managed by web, cloud or app: you can check it without going to site.
- Desktop or wall mounted, 100~240 V.
Two things worth knowing: it has no multicast and no ACL, so segmenting a company network means moving up a range, and it runs between 0 and 40 °C, which means it wants a ventilated cabinet and not a closed loft in August. We sell it, and if you want we leave the network built and tested. We sell and install on the Costa del Sol.
