Description
Smoke announces a house fire; carbon monoxide announces nothing at all, because it has no smell, no colour and it does not wake you. This Ajax detector watches both: smoke with a photoelectric sensor and CO with three response intervals depending on the concentration in the air.
When it trips, it sounds at 85 dB and warns with light as well. And unlike a supermarket detector, it does not just beep away in an empty house: the alert reaches your phone through the Ajax system, wherever you are.
- Jeweller radio at 868 MHz, up to 1,300 m in open space.
- Two CR2 cells and one CR2032, lasting roughly four years.
- Light and sound alarm on the unit itself, on top of the remote notification.
- ABS housing, 132 × 132 mm and 31 mm deep, 220 g: barely noticeable on a ceiling.
- Works from 0 to 65 °C.
This is the white version, the one that vanishes into a painted ceiling. Two warnings: it is indoor equipment and it does not shut off the gas or the power — it detects and reports. Where it goes matters (the kitchen, the boiler room, outside the bedrooms): we decide that with you before anything is fixed to the ceiling.
