Superior-range wireless indoor siren in black. It is chosen for premises and homes with dark finishes, where a white siren stands out too much on the wall. It also comes in white.
An alarm that only pings a phone leaves the intruder working in peace. The indoor siren is the part that ruins the plan: when it trips, the house fills with 81 to 105 dB at one metre, and nobody puts up with that for more than a few seconds. Most opportunistic break-ins end right there.
It is wireless: it talks to the panel over 868 MHz Jeweller radio, up to 2,000 m in open space, so it hangs where it is useful rather than where a cable happens to reach. It runs on two CR123A batteries with an estimated five-year life, has a rear tamper — pull it off the wall and the system knows — and the sound duration is configurable from 3 seconds to 3 minutes. It is from the Superior range, Grade 2 and NFA2P certified, and its LEDs plus a tone confirm arming and disarming. It works with Hub Plus, Hub 2 (2G and 4G), Hub 2 Plus, Hub Hybrid, ReX and ReX 2.
How we install it. Indoors — its rating is IP50, it is not for the façade — held by the SmartBracket and its retaining screw, and that is where the judgement lies: high and in plain sight, somewhere the sound fills the house but nobody can reach up and smother it. It is registered by QR in the Ajax app and signal strength is checked before we finish; for an empty house, volume and duration are set with the neighbours in mind too.
