Description
An outdoor siren is not there to frighten anyone: it is there to take away the intruder’s time. A silent break-in can be done calmly; one with 107 dB going off on the front wall cannot. This is the Ajax Superior range siren, the one we fit when the house is isolated or the nearest neighbour is far away.
It sounds between 85 and 107 dB at one metre, with the duration configurable from 3 seconds to 3 minutes, and it warns with light too: the LED marks the alarm and confirms arming and disarming, so from the street you can tell whether the system is set. It can use the conventional pattern or the NFA2P pattern.
- NFA2P certification and Grade 2, the level normally required in a home.
- Jeweller radio at 868 MHz, up to 1,500 m in open space: no cable between siren and hub.
- IP54 and IK08, from −25 °C to +60 °C: it takes rain, sun and a blow.
- 8 CR123A batteries, with the option of running it on 12 V DC instead.
- Self-test: the system checks on its own whether the battery can really do the job, instead of finding out the day it has to sound.
Black finish. It should be installed from 2.5 m up, out of arm’s reach — and that is the difference between fitting it and fitting it properly: height, orientation and staying inside the hub’s radio range. We sell it, and if you want we install it on the Costa del Sol.
