Description
An outdoor siren is the part of the system that talks to the neighbourhood. This Ajax unit reaches 113 dB at one metre — among the loudest in the range — and the duration is adjustable from 3 seconds to 3 minutes, so you can respect the neighbours without giving up the effect.
It comes in black, which is what you want on a dark façade, or when the box should not draw attention from the street. Besides the sound, the flashing LED signals the alarm and a tone confirms arming and disarming: from outside you can tell whether the system is set.
- Grade 2, the usual level for a home.
- Jeweller at 868 MHz with 2,000 m of range in open space: it goes where it should, not where the cable reaches.
- IP54, −30 to 60 °C: built to live outdoors.
- Tamper protection: if anyone tries to open it or pull it off, the system knows.
- Four CR123A batteries or 12 V DC if you prefer it wired.
It measures 200 × 200 × 51 mm and weighs 502 g, so the fixing matters. And it is worth saying: a siren warns, it does not call anyone. What to do about that warning is your decision, from the app. We mount it at the right height and register it on your hub.
