Description
The same Ajax outdoor siren, in white. On a pale or whitewashed wall it goes unnoticed, and that matters more than it looks: a siren you can spot from a distance is a siren that can be studied before anyone goes in.
It sounds between 85 and 113 dB at one metre, with the duration set anywhere from 3 seconds to 3 minutes. It links to the hub over Jeweller radio at 868 MHz, with up to 2,000 metres of range in open space: it can go on a rear façade, on the porch or on an outbuilding away from the house.
- Grade 2 with a built-in tamper switch.
- Flashing LED on alarm, plus an audible arming and disarming signal.
- IP54 and −30 to 60 °C: it takes the winter and the summer sun.
- Four 3 V CR123A batteries, or 12 V DC from an external supply.
- 200 × 200 × 51 mm and 502 g.
There is no camera and no microphone: it sounds and it flashes, and it does not call anyone by itself — the notification reaches your phone through the system. We install it where it will genuinely be heard — height, direction and radio range back to the hub, which is what decides whether it sounds at all — and test it in front of you.
Who it’s for and who it’s not for. This is the outdoor siren, in white, designed for light or whitewashed walls, where it goes unnoticed. And that’s the goal: a siren that can be seen from afar is a siren that can be studied before entering. It does not alert anyone on its own, and it is not an indoor device: for indoors, there is the indoor siren.
What’s included in the box. The outdoor siren with a flashing LED and tamper protection, certified Grade 2. It is powered by 4 CR123A 3.0 V batteries or 12V DC, so it does not require running power to the facade.
How we install it on the Costa del Sol. Outdoor with IP54 protection and a temperature range of −30 °C to +60 °C, measuring 200 × 200 × 51 mm and weighing 502 g. What is decided on-site is the height and orientation —it should be heard where it needs to be heard— and the radio range to the hub. It is tested in front of you, which is the only way to know it hasn’t gone silent.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it sound when triggered?
As configured: the alarm duration ranges from 3 seconds to 3 minutes, with a volume of 85 to 113 dB at one meter. This setting is what prevents having the neighborhood against you.
Does it alert anyone on its own?
No. It only sounds and lights up with its flashing LED, which also indicates armed and disarmed status. The alert goes to your mobile via the system, not from the siren.
Can it be placed in a separate shed from the house?
Yes: it connects to the hub via Jeweller radio at 868 MHz with a range of up to 2000m in open space. This allows for a back facade, a porch, or a garden shed, although the actual range is always measured on-site.
