Description
An IP intercom is not a doorbell with a camera: it is the front door connected to your phone. This kit brings the two pieces you need — the DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) door station and the 7″ Wi-Fi monitor DS-KH6320-WTE1 — and with that you see who is calling, talk to them and open, whether you are in the kitchen or in another country.
The door station uses a 1/3″ 2 MP CMOS sensor with a wide angle and infrared night vision, covering 131° horizontally — which is what stops you seeing only the top of the courier’s head. It has BLC, WDR and DNR so a backlit door does not burn out the picture (it matters on a south-facing entrance) and two-way audio. It also does access control with 13,56 MHz MF cards, holding 2,000 users and 10,000 cards: hand one to the gardener and cancel it the day he stops coming, without touching the lock. It is run from the Hik-Connect app or the iVMS-4200 software, and takes up to 16 extra monitors.
How we install it. The work is running network cable from wherever the monitor goes out to the door station, and mounting that station at the right height: not so high you only see a forehead, not so low that anyone can reach it. We set up pairing, the monitor’s Wi-Fi, the cards and the door release, test the call both ways and leave the app working on your phone.
