Description

This Dahua NVR is the one you fit when the installation is no longer four cameras: 16 channels, a screen split into 1, 4, 8, 9 or 16 images, and 4K output.

The interesting detail is one almost nobody checks: artificial intelligence costs it half its bandwidth. With AI off it takes 144 Mbps in and recording; with AI on, 72 Mbps. In plain terms: either you fill all 16 channels with ordinary cameras, or you use fewer cameras and get the analytics. That calculation belongs before the cameras are bought, not after.

• Perimeter protection on 4 channels (line crossing and intrusion) and SMD Plus on 4 channels, which filters out movement that is not a person or a vehicle.
• Records cameras of up to 12 MP and down to D1: it lives with old and new equipment side by side.
• Smart H.265+ to stretch the days of footage on the same disk.
• Two USB 2.0 ports and a full protocol set (HTTPS, P2P, DDNS, IP filter) for access from outside.
• Under 10 W without disks, in a 260 × 232 × 47.6 mm chassis weighing 850 g.
