Description
The difference between seeing that “someone is there” and seeing who it is usually comes down to the lens. This Dahua dome is varifocal, 2.7 to 13.5 mm: it is set at installation, anywhere from a wide 104° to a tight 29° aimed at the till, the door or the counter.
In practice, that is two cameras in one. It records at 4 MP (2688 × 1520) at 20 frames per second, or 3.6 MP at 25/30, and reaches 40 metres with two infrared LEDs — further than most domes of its size.
- 120 dB WDR, BLC, HLC and 3D-NR: backlight and night-time noise dealt with.
- Smart H.265+ for less disk at the same quality.
- PoE 802.3af or 12 V DC (7.3 W over PoE): a single cable.
- 360° pan and 78° tilt on the mount: the fine framing is done without relocating it.
- 122 mm body, 690 g, in grey.
One caveat: the zoom is manual, set at installation, not motorised — you cannot zoom from your phone. It has no audio, and it is rated IP67 −40 °C to +60 °C: fine indoors and outdoors. If you are covering a long space (a corridor, a warehouse), the choice of angle changes everything — that is decided on site, and we help with it.
