Description
At night most cameras see in black and white. And a black-and-white description helps nobody: “dark jacket” identifies no one. This Dahua bullet carries one infrared LED and one warm-light LED, so it can keep giving you colour after dark, with a 30-metre reach.
The warm light also deters: whoever walks up sees that the camera has seen them. It records at 4 MP (2688 × 1520) at 20 frames per second, or 3.6 MP at 25/30 if you prefer smoothness, and drops to D1 or CIF when disk space has to be saved.
- Fixed 2.8 mm lens with a 95° angle: the wide view of an entrance, a yard or a short façade.
- 120 dB WDR, BLC, HLC and 3D-NR: it copes with backlight and cleans up night-time noise.
- Smart H.265+, which stretches the days of footage on the same disk considerably.
- PoE 802.3af or 12 V DC, at very low draw: 5.2 W over PoE.
- 166 mm body, 480 g, adjustable on three axes.
Two things to be clear about: the lens is fixed — it cannot zoom in (that is what the varifocal is for), and there is no speaker or microphone, so no audio. We can supply it on its own or leave it mounted, framed and recording to your NVR.
