Wireless Signal Repeater Black for Hub 2 and Hub 2 Plus – Ajax

There is always one spot the radio does not reach: the shed at the bottom of the garden, the basement, the new wing behind a concrete wall. The repeater solves that without changing the panel or pulling new cable. It sits halfway between the Hub and the dead zone, and from then on the detectors in that zone talk through it.

It relays both Ajax protocols on 868 MHz: Jeweller for alarms and Wings for photos — so a photo detector working through the repeater still sends pictures, not just the alert. It works with Hub 2 and Hub 2 Plus, up to five per panel, and carries an anti-tamper switch plus a backup battery good for up to 38 hours: lose power in the garage and that zone is not left alone.

How we install it. Indoors, on the SmartBracket, whose rear tamper reports anyone taking it down. It needs power where it sits — the shop listing says mains, or 12 V / 6 V through the AJ-DC12V-PCB2 and AJ-DC6V-PCB2 modules — and that is where the real work is: finding the point that sees the Hub and sees the dead zone. We pick it by measuring, not by eye: it is added by QR in the Ajax app and signal strength is checked before and after, with the detectors already reassigned.
