6 MP is almost twice the pixels of the usual 4 MP, and it shows exactly where it matters: at the far end of the shot. A number plate at the end of the drive or a face twenty metres away stops being a smudge. This is Dahua’s outdoor bullet with Smart Dual Light.
Smart Dual Light means the camera has infrared and white light up to 30 m and decides which to use: infrared to watch without drawing attention, white light to record in colour at night when it detects something. That is the difference between “a person” and “a person in a red jacket”.

It takes −40 °C to +60 °C and weighs 610 g. In a house, the honest position for a 6 MP camera is covering the long approach; pointing it at a wall a metre away throws the resolution away. We sell it and install it on the Costa del Sol.
