Who it’s for and who it’s not. This camera is suitable for a plot or a yard where you need to cover a wide area with a single point: it moves 355° horizontally and from 0 to 90° vertically, and follows the detected movement. It is not suitable for areas requiring fixed and constant surveillance of a specific point: while the camera follows something on one side, the rest of the area is not covered. For that, two fixed cameras work better than one motorized.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a motorized camera follow someone entering the area on its own?
It has motion tracking within its range, 355° horizontally and from 0 to 90° vertically. What needs to be clear is the other side: while it follows something, it stops monitoring the rest of the scene.
Does it need a recorder or can it work with just a card?
It supports a microSD card of up to 512 GB, so for a single point it works fine on its own. With multiple cameras and hourly searches, the place where the video is truly stored is a recorder.
How well does it see at night?
The infrared LEDs reach up to 56 m with 0 lux, and it also has Color Night Vision with a deterrent flash to provide color images instead of black and white.
