Description
Three and a half metres is the height that settles most domestic cases: above a parked van, out of arm’s reach from the ground, and without becoming a mast that needs machinery to raise. This is the pole you put at a property entrance, in a courtyard or beside the pool.
It arrives dismantled, in two 1.25 m sections plus a 1 m base, and that is its practical advantage: it fits in a car, goes through a doorway and is assembled on site. It comes with mounts for PTZ and bullet cameras and a lightning-rod mount. The material is galvanised steel, and here that is not cosmetic: on the coast, with salt and damp, an unprotected pole starts showing after a couple of winters. Hot-dip galvanising — the zinc coating governed by EN ISO 1461 — is exactly what prevents that.
How we install it. What holds a pole up is not the pole: it is the base. A concrete foundation block with anchor bolts is cast, left to cure, and then the mast is raised and plumbed; the camera cable runs inside the tube, protected from the weather and from other people’s hands, exiting exactly where the mount goes. We do the foundation, the raising, the cable run and the final framing.
